But wont any new posts be stored in the DB on the old server? Which would mean when everyone is resolved to the new server, those posts would not be there?

There could be some posts go to the old server, but you can't time propagation perfectly, so just flick the switch and it'll all be ok.

Yeah, I just tried it then. I got a MOD to do a tracert and it resolved to the wombat server, but mine still goes to the old host... :/ They posted a new topic, but they weren't visible from my end in the "Who Is Online" & neither was their new post... Guess it's just a waiting game for my end still...

Thanks for all your help this far mate, I appreciate the continued support on the whole migration process.

No worries. Sometimes with propagation you've just got to roll with the flow a bit.

Finally, my ISP is resolving me to the wombat server. I had a mate log into the forums and re-enable them (as he was connecting to the wombat server) as I couldn't because I was connecting to the old server still...

All good now anyway mate. Thanks again for all your help along the way, it's been great to have such first class support.

I'd recommend anyone reading this use the services of AussieHost.com, as the support alone is second to none.

Regards,
Michael.

No worries. Glad you're tucked snug into your new server.
